C&W Business Recognised As A Leader In 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant For Disaster Recovery As A Service
Company receives recognition for the second year in a row* Only Caribbean and Latin American Company to be included in the 2016 Gartner Magic Quadrant
C&W Business, a division of Cable & Wireless Communications, (C&W), now part of Liberty Global (LiLAC Group), is pleased to announce that for the second year in a row, it has been recognized in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS)1. C&W Business is positioned as a Leader in Gartner’s 2016 Magic Quadrant for Disaster Recovery as a Service and was the only Caribbean and Latin American regional organization to be included in this year’s Magic Quadrant.
From 2016 through 2020, the use of either DRaaS or IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) to support the failover of production applications will grow by more than 200%, according to the report. The C&W Business DRaaS Solution protects business data and applications from all types of disasters by providing the latest technologies that allow users to become better informed when making critical business decisions.
Gartner Magic Quadrants are based on rigorous analysis backed up by a highly structured methodology. The evaluation was based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute and participants were assessed on a range of criteria. C&W Business believes in order to be recognized as a leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrants, a Company must act as a reliable source of information for CIOs and C-level executives who are assessing technology and service providers needed to make critical business decisions. By offering snapshots of markets and their participants, companies are able to evaluate vendor strengths and weaknesses against their current and future needs from Gartner recommendations.
“I am pleased that C&W Business has been recognized this year as a leader in Disaster Recovery as a Service and we are immensely grateful for the positive feedback from our customers,” said John Maduri, President of C&W Business. “What is particularly pleasing is that C&W Business is the only representative from the Caribbean and Latin America regions in the Magic Quadrant. Our customers recognize the importance we place on providing integrated solutions when they need it most and while we now serve as the leading ICT provider across the Caribbean and Latin America. We feel it is therefore an honor to receive this recognition not only from our customers but within the industry as well,” added Maduri.
C&W owns and operates over 65,000 km of subsea and terrestrial fiber network and eight datacenters across the region offering managed solutions in a redundant and secured environment.
