MIAMI, Florida (February 6, 2025) – C&W Communications recently took centre stage at CANTO’s 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) where senior executives shared valuable insights on the transformative role of emerging technologies in modern governance.
Waldo Hooker, Vice President, South Caribbean, delivered a compelling presentation on how digital advancements are reshaping government operations and enhancing public services.
Emerging technologies are becoming increasingly critical in empowering governments to improve efficiency, foster citizen engagement, and deliver high-quality public services,
he said.
Addressing over 200 delegates at the Renaissance Hotel in Curaçao, Hooker highlighted telemedicine, e-learning, IoT smart cities, and surveillance and public security as the four key areas where today’s gigabit technologies are driving significant change.
Gigabit technologies are the foundation of a smarter, more connected future – driving advancements in healthcare, education, urban development, and public safety. By harnessing these innovations, we can empower governments, enhance public services, and improve lives across the Caribbean,
added Hooker.
As we move towards a unified and sustainable Caribbean gigabit society, C&W Communications remains committed to investing in cutting-edge technologies and strategic partnerships that empower governments, businesses, and communities. Together, we are building a smarter, more connected future for the region, today.
